Session Cinema

Timelapse, stacking replay, sky-to-image zoom, making-of: your sessions and your processing become movies.

Work in progress

Overview

A night of acquisition is hundreds of subframes nobody ever looks at. Session Cinema turns them into a movie. Point it at a session folder: it lightly calibrates and auto-stretches every subframe, then assembles the timelapse of your night, clouds drifting by, meteors streaking, the field slowly rotating. Second, even more satisfying mode: the stacking replay, showing your image build itself frame after frame, from first-exposure noise to final-stack signal, with the signal-to-noise ratio climbing along. Third mode, Zoom Odyssey: the context video that starts from the whole sky, dives to the constellation then the field, and lands on your image as it reveals itself: the classic "where is it in the sky?", built automatically from the plate solve. Finally, the Making-Of mode answers the question you get under every published image: it replays your image's PixInsight processing history and turns it into a movie or a step-by-step carousel, settings and intermediate renders included. Share-ready video export (social-friendly formats) with clean, optional overlays: target, filter, time, frame count. The script that makes you want to show your nights, not just your results.

Features

Night timelapse

Every subframe is lightly calibrated and auto-stretched, then cut into a video: clouds, meteors and field rotation become visible.

Stacking replay

Your image builds frame after frame, from first-exposure noise to final-stack signal, with the SNR shown along the way.

Zoom Odyssey

The "where is it in the sky?" video: from the whole sky to the constellation, then the field, down to your image revealing itself. Built automatically from the plate solve.

Making-Of mode

The automatic answer to "how did you process this?": your image's processing history is replayed as a movie or a step-by-step carousel, settings and intermediate renders included, ready to post.

Share-ready export

Video in social-friendly formats, with clean, optional overlays: target, filter, time, frame count.

Automatic

A session folder in, a few simple settings, and the movie comes out on its own.
